MEET THE CREATOR

The Mathnasium
Method™

Meet Larry, the creator of the Mathnasium Method. This is the story of his family, values, love of math and life.

Larry's passion and teaching method is based on the understanding that math is all around us, in everything we do.

With this approach, the method aims to help children truly understand and begin to love math, rather than to just try to "pass" it.

Parents and grandparents see this change in children, and they quickly understand the full value of Mathnasium, making them, along with the children,  life-long Mathnasium advocates.

Candidates don’t have to know (or be “good at”) math, nor have special teaching skills, as Mathnasium provides training and a sophisticated, highly developed set of tools for operating the centers. However, it is important that anyone involved in our franchise enjoy being around kids.

Is the curriculum translated or localized?

When entering a new country, Mathnasium works with local education professionals to localize the curriculum to meet country standards and expectations. When necessary, the curriculum is translated into the country's language. The translation and localization takes 6-9 months and runs parallel to the process of opening your first center.
